Meet The Newest Tondre
This past weekend my brother was married! So, we have expanded the family and added Kristin to our ranks. I'm so happy for them, and wish them the best. I know that blessings will shower them, and pray that when times are hard they will remember that God is the glue that binds them. The wedding was beautiful of course, my mother has quite a knack for decorating and design, and nothing at all was dull around the bride...and then there were my completely adorable girlie's.

Decisions
We got a bed for 30 dollars off craigslist for Annora. It ended up being in more disrepair than I thought, But nothing 300 coats of paint can't fix. Seriously! I need to STOP!!! First I gave the thing 2 coats of primer, and then decided on painting it a vintagey turquoise blue with some butter yellow underneath. (I like to distress stuff). Soooo...First I painted it yellow, then blue, then decided it was too bright and not enough yellow...then I decided to dry brush on some yellow paint over the blue, then decided maybe it should go the other way around...and then after painting till dark yesterday decided that all that was for nothing because now I'm going to paint it blue then paint it yellow and rub off the yellow with my fingers, giving it a nice worn look, not too blue, not too yellow...Guess what. :) I am sporting 2 nice blisters and I've changed my mind. Now I'm not even sure I want to keep the bed. Goodness! I like the look of the pale yellow. It's more off white than anything. But I was going to paint Annora's room yellow, and didn't want the bed to disappear. I like the eye popping turquoise, but I'm such a classic person I don't know...now I want your vote. Turquoise or pale yellow. (You'll have to imagine the yellow...when it's on it's like a soft white) My note to myself is...my method of rubbing off the paint may have gone better if I had just used a standard faux finish technique...way to make it harder for yourself Shalisa.
